INSTRUCTION MANUAL

Your SUPER-MINI-TAKTELL® is the world’s smallest pendulum metronome

It runs as long and reliably and marks the time visually and audibly just as accurately as the large WITTNER®-METRONOMES.
100 years’ experience guarantees a quality product.

lnstructions for use:

Not suitable for children under 36 months due to small pieces which may present a choking hazard.

Hold the metronome with one hand somewhere in the middle of the casing and with the other hand pull the lid forward.

Turn the key attached to the winding-pin which is found on the right-hand side of the casing. Wind up the metronome until a resistance is felt.

Important: Wind up the metronome only immediately before use. Don’t keep it for a longer time in fully wound-up condition. Thus the service life of the main spring will be increased considerably.

To set in motion: Move the pendulum from the upper holder to the left. Set the indicator at the desired tempo, corresponding to the time marked on the scale. A slight tap on the pendulum should set the metronome in motion.

After use set the weight at tempo 208 and put the pendulum bar back into the upper holder.

To close the Super-Mini-Taktell®, first put the lid onto the casing underneath and finally push the lid right over the casing.

General features:

The metronome serves to denote the tempo at which a musical composition is to be performed. The metronome tempo is specified at the beginning of a musical composition. For 80 =𝅘𝅥 for example, the shifting weight on pendulum is raised till the upper edge of weight is in exact alignment with the line marked 80 on the scale. Then set the pendulum in motion. After movement has become regular, each beat is equal to one quarter note (crotched) for the respective musical composition. With the musical composition marked 80 =𝅗𝅥 each pendulum movement indicates a half note (minim).

Indications of beats according to tempo:

Largo 40–60
Larghetto 60–66
Adagio 66–76
Andante 76–108
Moderato 108–120
Allegro 120–168
Presto 168–200
Prestissimo 200–208
