MADE IN GERMANY

To the Wittner Company,
Isny, Germany
The Fine-Tune-Pegs for violoncello by the Wittner company are in my view an exceptionally practical and helpful innovation in the field of violinmaking.
Their advantages are the comparatively simple and effortless procedure of stringing up an instrument, their handling when actually tuning the instrument with the least amount of force,
the possibility to continuously play the pair of strings while adjusting the fifth-interval at the same time.
(And this without the occasionally by cellists made ,dislocation' of the left arm towards the common fine tuner screws on the tailpiece!)
Last to mention the astonishing similarity with wooden pegs in shape, color and surface texture.
As I myself as well as one of my students who had the WITTNER Finetune-Pegs installed on her cello could verify, using these pegs directly helps striving for and achieving the most
pure fifth-intervals without the ,detour' of comparing harmonics of the same pitch on two adjacent strings.
I gladly recommend the WITTNER Finetune-Pegs to colleagues and students and with this in mind I will enclose a comment by my student Kana Totsuka from Japan.
With best regards,
Fritz Dolezal
